I’m just the non disturbing man next door
Some do not want to be disturbed
Some want their voices to be loud
The lots misguided by fears absurd
The growing few gather in crowds.
I also live here, take a look at my hands
They’re not worn out, but soft no more
I do nothing to try to hold back the sands
Of the hourglass leading to the next war.
I also live here, in a world full of traps
Where free will’s value is below zero
Society allows the creation of big gaps
Humanity has to become its own hero.
I also live here, and I want to write more
Love gives purpose, courage sparks fires
I’m just the non disturbing man next door
Yet ready to be what this world requires.
